CLEANUP - Completion fluid displacement model
Drilling mud displacement has become a critical step in the well construction process for high rate, high productivity wells.
CLEANUP was developed to model the displacement hydraulics of completions fluids and to aid in the design of optimum mud displacement jobs. Many potential problems can be identified before the pumping starts, and appropriate modifications can be made.
Technical features:
Flow dynamics of fluid displacement in 3D wells.
Forward or reverse circulation.
Free-fall / back filling (U-tubing) calculation.
Simulate circulation sub and flow by-pass.
ECDs / Pressures at various depths vs. time.
Required flow rate for turbulence for fluids at different geometry.
“Snap shot” of hydrostatic/total pressure profile with pore / frac gradients (wellbore integrity).
Choke pressure can be manually applied, computer calculated to avoid u-tubing or to maintain downhole pressure for well control purposes.
Handles up to 10 fluids, each pumped at 5 rates.
Model selection based on viscometer readings.
Fluid displacement / flow pattern simulation.
Automatically export results into MS Word.
Allows oil field, SI and customized units.
